You are So Gifted
I love almost anything rainbow so today's card is full of color but accented with white.
To start this card I stamped the background using one of my all-time favorite stamp sets from Lil' Inker Designs Cozy Plaid stamps. I stamped the lines from that set in lots of fun colors, overlapping each color slightly. It made such a pretty background for the Cover Up Die Mod circles die (I adhered the cover die with scor-tape on the sides and liquid glue in the middle sections) that was cut twice and layered on top of each other for dimension.
The saying comes from a new stamp set called Sassy Girl stamps and I thought it fit in perfectly with the Small Bow die that remains one of the coolest dies on the market (and guess what? It's 25% off in the store right now!). 😁
Yappy Birthday
This Dog Hugs stamp is really not quite so tall. I doubled up the dogs on this card. After stamping the dogs the first time I added another section on top to fill my cardstock. I show the steps I used below.
Steps to make the dogs fill the entire card front.
1. Stamp the first section once. Then die cut some masking paper with the coordinating Dog Hugs dies and cover the lower row of dogs.
2. Stamp the dogs a second time. I moved mine over slightly so the dogs would be in different places on the card.
3. You can see in the third picture what the dogs looked like stamped twice.
4. Here I show you how I lined up my die to die cut the dog's hands out so they can hold objects. I did this on the bottom section also, just moving the die where it needed to be.
After stamping & die cutting with the coordinating Dog Hugs dies I then colored the dogs and the items they are holding with copics. Aren't those sun glasses on the dogs hysterical? Definitely my favorite part of the card! Also note that this card is slightly taller than a normal card because I needed a place for my sentiment so I added a strip at the bottom. Yeah, should have planned that out prior to stamping...oh well, it still works and looks cute! :)
