Heartthrobs with Lil' Inker Designs January Release Day 1 + Giveaway

Welcome to the January Lil' Inker Designs release! The new products are already available in the Lil' Inker Designs store so you can start shopping now! I had such a great time playing with these new products that are versatile for year-round use but focus on love and friendship!  I Ioved playing with lots of color with these new products so you'll be seeing a lot of that from me this release.

Love You More

This first card uses some of my favorite products from this release!  The Heartthrob stamps which allow you to mix and match colors to create hearts are my #1 favorite product from this release (I'll share another card using those tomorrow)!  And my #2 favorite new product is also on this card, the Quilted Stitched All Hearts die!  LOVE!

I started by die cutting those gorgeous stitched hearts into my white card panel using the Quilted Stitched All Hearts die and then trimmed a small sliver on each side so that the pink cardstock could peek through on the sides.  I die cut the large LOVE from the previously released Love is Love die set in white.  The "love you more" comes from the Heartthrob stamp set.  

Now let's talk about those hearts.  How fun!  I loved experimenting with colors and designs.  I die cut the hearts with the Perfect Palette Hearts die (more on that tomorrow) and then used the Heartthrob stamp set and stamped each heart with two solid sides.  I then used Versamark over the left side and a doodled line stamp and stamped over the color.  I then embossed that with Wanderlust glitter embossing powder to add that shine & sparkle.  I love how that turned out!

Sending Big Hugs

I went all out with color on this next card.  I told you I used lots of color on this release and this next card shows it, LOL.  If you are looking for a fun new product for Valentine's treats look no further than the cutest little bear from the Bear Hugger Die & Stamp Set Bundle!  I've used it here on a card, but you can use these as treats all by themselves too.  Tuck a little piece of candy inside the arms of this bear (chocolate, sucker, or even a pencil, etc) and use them for classroom, Sunday School, kids or grandkid's treats for Valentine's Day.

Let's talk about the new products on this card first.  I die cut the polar bear (there are 3 different kinds of bears you can make with this stamp set) with the Bear Hugger Die & Stamp Set Bundle. I then stamped the face and the belly on the inside (more on that below).  I colored his ears in and added cheeks with Copic markers.  The large sentiment is die cut with the gorgeous Sending My Love Word die. I used some thin chipboard to die cut a second sentiment and then stacked them on top of each other for dimension. For the background I used the Cozy Plaid stamp that I just can't put down!  Oh my I love this stamp in all the colors!  I then used patterned paper and die cut the previously released Forever Heart Die Layer 2 to make that huge heart.

Isn't that bear the cutest?  My daughter loves him!  I bent his arms together and then used a heart from the Perfect Palette Hearts die to stamp the big hugs sentiment on it.  

When you open up the arms of the bear he is ready to give a hug and his tummy also has the sentiment stamped in pink.  Awww! :)  So if you have someone that just needs a hug, this set is PERFECT and I love that this is versatile beyond Valentine's Day or for a love theme!  It fits the encouragement/friendship theme well!

Release Day! Adoring You Stamp of Approval by Catherine Pooler

Today I have 2 cards to share with you so be sure to keep scrolling to see them both!

Rainbow Congratulations
I love anything in rainbows!  This morning I shared on Instagram a card where I used one of the Backsplash dies (available as an add-on item) that matches this stamp image, only the stamp version is much smaller.  I think this image looks great in rainbow.  :)

To create this card I started with a white panel and lined up lots of ink colors!  I could have used less colors but when they all look so pretty together why stop with less, LOL!  I used the image from the Congratulations Sentiments stamp set (part of the Adoring You SOA Collection) and stamped it repeatedly, rotating it each time I stamped, in the different colors of ink (Be Mine, Party Dress, Rockin’ Red, Orange Twist, Sauna, SomethingBorrowed, Fiesta Blue, All that Jazz, Aquatini, Mardi Gras, Lime Rickey, GardenParty, Pixie Dust, Flirty Fuchsia, Grape Crush).  Then I trimmed the sides off slightly so each side went slightly off of the white panel.   

I embossed the sentiment, from the same set, with white embossing powder and also stamped a border using another stamp from the stamp set. 

Sure Do Love You

So by far my favorite stamp and die (the die is a must-have add-on!) is the "Love You" stamp from the Happy Together stamp set.  You can find the coordinating dies here.  I die cut and stamped this sentiment so many times in a rainbow of colors and then had so many options to play with when making cards using these sets.

I started by stamping the four different colors of the "love you" onto the bottom of my card front. I used Bellini, It's a Girl, Party Dress, Aquatini & Lime Rickey inks. I then stamped the "sure do" border, also from the Happy Together stamp set on a white strip of cardstock. I also stamped the patterned border, using a stamp from the Congratulations Sentiment set.

I adhered one of the "love you" sentiments, die cut using the add-on Happy Together die set, with dimensional tape.
