Lil' Inker Designs July Release: Day 1

Hello and welcome to the July Lil' Inker Designs release! The new products are already available in the Lil' Inker Designs store so you can start shopping now!

Scooters & Rainbows, Oh My!
The first couple of products I'm introducing today are FUN!  Meet Scooter Balloons stamps, Scooter Balloons dies & the Quilted Stitched So Stylish die.

The new Scooter Balloons stamps and dies are adorable!  I loved playing with them!  For this card I die cut the image, stamped it and then watercolored it with Catherine Pooler inks and an aqua brush.  For the background I took a piece of striped rainbow paper and then die cut it with the awesome Quilted Stitched So Stylish die.  Oh boy, I really like that die!! It adds such a fun background and could be used for so very many occasions and scenes!  Well worth the investment!    

Here's a closeup.  I added the Happy Birthday Border die in black and then popped the scooter up at the top with dimensional tape.  The black just pops against all of those colors!

Doctor's Orders

What's cuter than animal doctors & nurses?  This new set from Lil' Inker Designs called Animal Doctors stamps & Animal Doctors dies is adorable!  And I love that it is get well themed because I don't have very many get well themed products, so this one definitely fills a gap in my stamp collection!

I die cut and stamped the image using the Animal Doctors stamps & Animal Doctors dies.  I colored the elephant doctor with copic markers.  The sentiment is also included in the stamp set.

You may be wondering about that background.  That is the previously released Wrappers Delight: Lattice die and I thought it paired perfectly with this stamp set.  By replacing just the +'s in the lattice it perfectly matched the red cross symbol on the doctor's bag!  I love how well those products coordinate together!

Release Day! Tropically Yours Stamp of Approval by Catherine Pooler

It is release time (YAY!) for Catherine Pooler's Stamp of Approval Tropically Yours collection.  The collection is now available for those who weren't on the Wait List.  But hurry because they often sell out quickly and this has been a very popular one!  And, you won't want to miss the FOUR add-on die sets that are available today too!

For the card I'm sharing today I decided I wanted to do something different and make a folded card and I love how it turned out!  I also put together a video to show you how it's done that I shared toward the end of this post. 

This is the front of the card, all folded up.  I started with a piece of 5 1/2 x 12" paper to create this and it will fit in a regular sized A2 envelope.  I decorated the outside with images that were die cut from the add-on die sets Tropically Yours & Leave Me in Paradise and then stamped them with the coordinating images from the stamp sets included in the SOA collection.  The leaves and flowers are stamped with a variety of inks: Coral Cabana, Polished, Melon Ice, Garden Party, Lime Rickey, Grass Skirt, Aquatini, Party Dress, Be Mine, It's a Girl, Limoncello.

Here I've partially opened the card and you can start to see the images on the inside.  I purposely made the leaves to go off the top of the slanted card front to hide all of the images on the inside when closed.

Here the card is fully opened.  I die cut the flamingos & grass with the add-on Stand Tall dies.  I water colored the flamingos with Coral Cabana, Polished, It's a Girl, Party Dress & Be Mine inks. The grass is stamped with Garden Party & Aquatini and the water is stamped with It's a Boy.

Here you can see the white panels that I stamped with one of the border stamps in the super cool Good Vibes Borders stamp set included in the collection.

And one last close up of the inside panel.  For the flamingo on the right I took a black pen and a ruler and drew black lines on the wing.  I love the little detail that this added.
