Hello and welcome to the March Lil' Inker Designs release! The new products are already available in the Lil' Inker Designs store so you can start shopping now Yay!

Hop Hop Hooray!
I had a lot of fun playing with the new Peek-a-boo Bunny die set!  This die set is adorable!

Jen Carter Peek-a-boo Bunny Happy Bunny Mini Bow Hanging Standing 5 wm

For this card I wanted my bunny to truly be playing peek-a-boo and what better way than by peeking in from above!?  I die cut the Peek-a-boo Bunny die set in neutral white for the body of the bunny but then couldn't help but make the cheeks & ear pieces patterned.

I also used the Mini Bow Die for a hair bow.  For the background panel I used the Silly Stitched Die to stitch a border.  The sentiment was stamped with a new stamp set called Happy Bunny stamp set.

Easter Parade
My second card today features a totally adorable set! If you love bunnies and love to color than you need this set called Easter Parade! 😉

Jen Carter Easter Parade Small Sun Border Builder Clouds wm

I started by die cutting my images with the Easter Parade die set and then stamping with the Easter Parade stamp set.  I colored the images with copics.  Aren't they so cute!  I love that this set can be used for Easter, Spring or even general themes such as birthdays!  I took a thick piece of watercolor paper and made a stencil using the cloud border from the Border Builder die set. To create the background I used Broken China distress oxide ink and then just moved the stencil up on the white cardstock as I sponged the ink around.  It worked really well!   I used the same die to cut the grassy hill.  I placed the sunshine in the top corner that I die cut using the Sunshine Die: Small and added a sequin in the center.  The entire panel was die cut with the Stitched Mats: Dual Stitched Rectangles die.

Carrot Treat Box
Last but not least is this cute carrot treat box made using the new Carrot Treat Holder die & the Charm Tags die set.

I die cut the  Carrot Treat Holder die twice and then adhered both pieces together with scor-tape.  I tied the ends together with a bow and attached a tag that I had made using the new Charm Tags die set.  For the center of the tag I stamped a sentiment from the Bunny Hugger Die & Stamp Bundle and attached it with twine.

Winnie & Walter Wrap Up & Giveaway

Jen Carter Winnie Walter Faith Believe Miracles Debra's Poinsettia Winter Wishes Stripes

Hello friends!  I wanted to share one more Winnie & Walter card that I made for the February Leading Lady posts that I haven't shared yet and then get to what you've been waiting for: the winner of the $30 gift card to the Winnie & Walter store!

For this card I used the Scenery: Stripes stamps to create my background.  I used lots of bright Catherine Pooler inks for the rainbow of colors: Flirty Fucshia, It's a Girl, Party Dress, Rockin' Red, Tutti Frutti, Orange Twist, Sauna, Something Borrowed, Aquatini & Garden Party. Once the background was finished, I used the little cross like images from the Winter Wishes with Evelin T Designs stamp set to make a little random pattern.  The sentiment is from the In Bloom: Debra's Poinsettia with Lydia Evans stamp set.

Winner! Winner!
Thank you to everyone who left comments on my blog during the four weeks of being the Leading Lady on the Winnie & Walter blog!  Your comments meant a lot to me!  Thank you again to Shay for the opportunity and for providing this gift certificate to one lucky winner!

Our winner is Sammi!  Congratulations!

Mr. & Mrs. Bridal Couple

Jen Carter Bridal Couple Champagne 3

I meant to post this card last week for Valentine's Day but time got away from me.  If you are looking for a fun die set for upcoming weddings, wedding showers, proms, etc then this is a die set that you are going to want to add to your collection!  The Bridal Couple Card Builder is so fun to work with!  I added various pieces with different colored cardstock and then made a little boutonniere for the groom too.

I stamped a little message on the inside of the card with the Wedding Wishes stamp set.

Winnie & Walter Leading Lady: Take Four

It's hard to believe the month is coming to an end already and this is my last post as Leading Lady for the month of February.  I have enjoyed spending time with Winnie & Walter fans and friends and reading your comments so much!  Thank you for all of your love!  Thank you for your support of not only my work, but of this fabulous company as well!  Thank you so much to Shay for having me!  (Fun fact, I get to craft with her in just a few days!! I can't wait!)

Today my post is focusing on black & white cards with a pop of color.  I loved the floral set that released in November called In Bloom: Victoria's Very Merry Flowers with Lydia Evans and I used that set for both of my cards today.

Jen Carter Winnie Walter Victoria's Very Merry Flowers Happy

For this first card I grouped several of the flowers and leaves from the In Bloom: Victoria's Very Merry Flowers with Lydia Evans on to a larger acrylic block and then inked them up with Black Soot Distress Oxide ink.  I then spritzed them with water and stamped them on to my white cardstock. I repeated this until the cardstock was filled in.  I then lightly flicked a few drops of the black watered down ink onto my cardstock.  For my sentiment strip I stamped the "happy birthday" using the In a Word: Happy stamp set and Flirty Fuchsia ink.  I die cut some of the smaller flowers with the In Bloom: Victoria's Very Merry Flowers with Lydia Evans Cutaways, stamped them with the coordinating stamps using All that Jazz (releasing soon), Black Jack & Tiara inks and adhered them to my panel.  A few clear sequins finishes the card off.

Jen Carter Winnie Walter Victoria's Very Merry Flowers Rugby Stripes

This last card has a more classic feel to it.  I used Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink and the Scenery: Rugby Stripe Creative Screenings stencil to create those nice bold stripes.  I love being able to create my own patterned paper so easily!  The sentiment is stamped using the In Bloom: Victoria's Very Merry Flowers with Lydia Evans stamp set.

For the flowers I went very bold.  I die cut the flowers and then stamped the first layer with Catherine Pooler inks.  I used Party Dress, Aquatini, Lime Rickey, Sauna & Flirty Fuchsia.  The layers that you see on top of the solid flower/leaf images were made by embossing.  Did you know that you can emboss on top of embossing powder?  If you're careful not to overheat the powder so it loses color, you can layer embossing powder which is what I did here for the centers of my flowers! Simply emboss the first layer, stamp the second layer with watermark ink, add your second layer of embossing powder and heat it again.  The brands of embossing powder I used are Ranger & Zing.

Thanks for stopping by again today! I  Before you go, leave a comment on my blog Jen's Ink Spot on any (or all four) of my Winnie & Walter Leading Lady posts for a chance to win a $30 gift card to the Winnie & Walter store.  You have until Friday, March 3rd to comment and I will pick a winner randomly from all of the comments left and will announce the winner March 7th!    Thanks again and have a wonderful day!
