New Frantic Stamper Stencil

Frantic Stamper has a new release out and it includes lots of items for the women in our lives, including our moms.  They even have a new product out this month, their very first stencil which I've used on this card.

Happy Birthday Mom

FRA-STN-001-DIE-10413-10380-CL-072-Jen Carter

I started by using the new Vintage Floral Stencil (6" x 6").  To create this look I used Deco Foil Transfer Gel and spread it over the stencil.  After letting it dry I applied white foil to the top of it and ran it through a Minc machine.

I used the Elegant Sakura die to create the large floral piece.  I then die cut the new "mom" die with the For Mother die set.  The "happy birthday" was stamped with a stamp from the Many Happy Birthdays stamp set.

Here's a closeup of the foil on the card from the stencil.  You can achieve a similar look with embossing or texture paste.

Winnie & Walter Leading Lady: Take One

Hello!  I am so excited to be Winnie & Walter's February Leading Lady!  I was so fortunate to meet Shay at a craft retreat almost a year ago and I can't say enough wonderful things about her kind & generous spirit!  I'm always amazed by the products that she puts out through the Winnie & Walter line!  It's an honor to be able to share with you each Saturday this month.

My first theme this month is using the overlooked stamps in our stamp sets.  Basically, take a look at the tiny stamps in your sets and make them the star of the show.  I challenged myself even further and used Christmas/Winter themed stamp sets to make non-holiday themed cards.

Wishing You a Bright, Brilliant Birthday

Jen Carter Winnie Walter Winter Wishes Wishing You Dots

For this first card I wanted to make a bright, fun, party card.  I loved the little solid circles in the Winter Wishes with Evelin T Design stamp set. I also really liked that the circles had outline stamps to match as well!   So I pulled out a palette of bright inks (listed in the supply section) and started to randomly stamp the little circles with the largest size at the top, working my way down to the tiniest of circles.  I used a gray ink and the coordinating outline circle stamps to outline a few here and there.

The sentiment is from the Wishing You with Evelin T Designs stamp set.  After stamping the second sentiment strip in bright colors I attached it to the panel with dimensional tape.

I wanted to add a little more dimension to my card so I die cut some of the circles in different sizes using the Winter Wishes with Evelin T Designs Cutaways, stamped them with the coordinating sized circle stamps and popped them up with dimensional tape.

On Your Special Day

Jen Carter Winnie Walter Warm Wishes Sentimental Gift Hearts

For my second card I wanted to focus on the adorable steam hearts in the Warm Wishes to You stamp set (this set will be released in 2018 and was the free gift with purchase stamp set during the last release).  To start I created the background paper using the smallest & largest heart and stamping with VersaMark ink.  For the rainbow panel, I chose my ink palette and then started stamping the hearts in a row. I embossed the sentiment from Sentimental: Gift with white ink onto black cardstock and then hand cut the ends of the banner to make a pointed end.  I placed the sentiment banner onto the heart stamped panel with dimensional tape.  The heart panel is also adhered with dimensional tape to the card base. I added some colorful sequins to finish the card off.

I hope you've been inspired to take another look at some of those tiny stamps in your collection and think of ways to use them as the star of your card or project!

A Card & a Treat Cup

Frantic Stamper has come out with a unique die that can be used for cards & other paper projects or you can use it to make a treat cup and/or basket.  Let's take a look.

Happy Birthday Card
We'll start first with the card.

FRA-DIE-10382-10119-CL072-JenCarter1

I first die cut the doily from the Bonnet Basket Treat Cup die from white cardstock and used that for the focal point of my card, trimming off one side.  I die cut the light pink flower and the black leaves with that die set out of felt.  The smallest flower was die cut using the Floral Confetti die. I arranged the flowers around the outside of my doily.

I stamped the sentiment with the Many Happy Birthdays clear stamp set and then added a few black dots for accents and for the flower centers.

Matching Bonnet Treat Cup

Using the same die set you can turn treat cups (available here) into little bonnets/hats or baskets (use the long skinny scalloped piece as a handle).  For this one I used the same supplies as I did for the card and adhered them to the treat cup.

Love You in Rainbow

DSC_4923

Hey everyone!  I wanted to share a few more "Love You" cards I made with products from the latest Lil' Inker Designs release.  These cards were simple because they used scraps from the rainbow cards I shared during the release (here & here).

Love You Card #1
After I had die cut the cute Quilted Stitched XOXO die in a rainbow of colors I then cut each line apart so I had lots of strips to use on cards.  The next two cards are ones that were created with some of those left over pieces.

I started by die cutting a piece of white cardstock with the Quilted Stitched XOXO die.  I love how it looks stitched into the white cardstock!  I then adhered my colored strips onto a piece of thinner cardstock and used the love die from the Love is Love die set to cut the LOVE into the strips.

The "you" was stamped with the Love is Love stamp set in Catherine Pooler Black Jack ink.  The striped panel was adhered with foam tape for dimension.  The little heart was die cut with the little additions in the Love is Love die set and then colored with a Nuvo Glitter Gloss Aqua Shimmer pen and adhered with dimensional tape.

Love You Card #2

This card was assembled exactly the way that the first card was only with different colors. I also changed up the "you".  I cut off the "you" from the Love You More than Words Script Heart die and adhered it to the bottom.
