Lil' Inker Designs January Release: Day 2

Welcome to day 2 of the Lil' Inker Designs Release!  All of the products being shown today are currently available in the Lil' Inker Designs store!  

Today I have 2 love themed cards to share using the new Love is Love stamps, Love is Love dies, Forever Heart Layer Die 1, Forever Heart Layer Die 2, Quilted Stitched XOXO die, Farm Love Stamps & the previously released Unstoppable Stamps.

Love, Love, Love

I wanted to try a new color combination with the Love is Love stamps and I think I found a fun one!

I started with the bold LOVE stamp from the Love is Love stamp set.  I stamped the sentiment four times in Juniper Mist, Daydream, Party Dress & Flirty Fuchsia ink.  I then stamped the cute scripty love in black ink and added the little heart from the same stamp set in It's a Girl ink and then added some Glossy Accents .  I added a small strip of striped paper on the side of the card panel.  Super easy to put together!

Love You
My next card has a lot of different textures on it.

I started by using that fun  Quilted Stitched XOXO die for the background.  I used  Forever Heart Layer Die 1 on the lighter gray paper and then used Forever Heart Layer Die 2 to add the stitching.  These dies are fun because you can use them together or by themselves and they provide you with totally different looks.  For this one after I die cut, I cut the heart out with scissors to adhere to my xoxo panel.  I die cut the LOVE with the Love is Love dies in three different colors of cardstock.  I decided to replace the "O" with a heart that is die cut using the Love You More Hearts & Balloons dies.  I stamped the heart with Versamark and one of the patterns in the Unstoppable Stamps that were released with November's mini-release.  I adhered the letters & heart with dimensional tape.  The "you" is stamped with one of the stamps in the Farm Love Stamp Set.  I placed the reddish-pink heart in the middle that is die cut with the little additions die included in the Love is Love die set.

Lil' Inker Designs January Release: Day 1

I have two cards to share today and I'm excited to get started!  

Best Friends are Like Thighs...

This sentiment cracks me up!  "Best friends are like thighs...they stick together!"  How fun for a friend card!  This sentiment is from the new Galentine's Day stamp set.  What is Galentine's Day you ask?  Well, I looked that up for you and found this explanation:

Galentine's Day is a holiday Amy Poehler's Parks and Rec character Leslie Knope created that occurs every year on Feb. 13, the day before Valentine's Day. As Leslie herself explains on the show:

"Oh, it's only the best day of the year. Every February 13th, my lady friends and I leave our husbands and our boyfriends at home, and we just come and kick it, breakfast-style. Ladies celebrating ladies."  

So...now that you know that, on to the card!

First I started with the free gift with a $75 purchase Quilted Stitched So Knotty die for the background of the card. I love the texture it added.  I die cut the animals with the Farm Love Dies and then stamped the images with the coordinating Farm Love Stamp Set and colored them with copics.  What an adorable set!  And I love that this set can be used for so many occasions including Valentine's Day, Birthdays, Belated Birthdays, friendship, etc! 

For the sentiment I die cut one of the stitched Wonky Rectangle Dies out of patterned paper and then stamped the sentiment from the Galentine's Day stamp set.  The little red hearts, stamped with Rockin' Red ink, come from the Love is Love stamp set.   I popped up the sentiment panel and the animals.

You're the Thelma to my Louise

This sentiment is, of course, a nod to the 1991 movie Thelma & Louise who were BFF's. :)  I went rainbow crazy on this card.

I started by die cutting the super cute Quilted Stitched XOXO die in 8 different colors of cardstock.  Then, I cut each piece a part by rows for each color creating lots of wonderful rainbow colored strips!  I have made so many rainbow cards with these strips which I'll be sharing over the next few weeks.  

I used the Love is Love dies to spell out LOL (Laugh Out Loud) and also used the Quilted Stitched XOXO die to create the fun pattern on the letters also.  I popped those up with dimensional tape.  I then heat embossed the sentiment from the  Galentine's Day stamp set in white.

Stamp of Approval Love is in the Air

Sunburst Love
One of the dies included in the set is a Sunburst die.  I have a fondness for sunbursts for some reason :) and when I saw this die knew that I wanted to do something outside the box with it.  I wanted to use the sunburst in non-traditional colors and make it pop. The resulting card was a rainbow of sunbursts which remind me of fireworks or flowers.

I started by die cutting the Sunburst die from the collection with lots of different, bright colors of cardstock and then adhering them to Midnight cardstock. 

I die cut the love banner that is included in the Bon Voyage Accoutrements die set in multiple colors of cardstock and then inserted the pieces into the negative space in the banner die cut from midnight cardstock.  The Bon Voyage Accoutrements die set is an add-on set that can be purchased separately from the store at release time.  The die cut arrow is also from that die set.  Each of the little hearts in the center of the sunbursts were from pieces that were left over after die cutting all of the little love banners.

Sending Love
My last card for today is another colorful card using many of the products from the Love is in the Air collection.  I also stamped a coordinating envelope to go with the card using another set included in the box.

When I saw the tiny heart banner die in the Love is in the Air die set (this is an add-on die set that will be available for purchase in the store separately from the box on release night). I knew I had to make a card using it. It is so adorable!  I started by die cutting the yellow piece from the Postage Stamp dies included in the Stamp of Approval box and then die cut the white piece with a stitched die in the same set.  I stamped the scalloped line with The World Awaits stamp set.  Then I attached the little banners that I die cut in lots of fun rainbow colors.  The clouds were stamped in It's a Boy ink using stamps from the Love is in the Air stamp set.  I die cut that gorgeous Love from the Love die.  Don't you love that font?  The sending stamped right above the love, is from the Bon Voyage stamp set.

Here's a closeup of that banner.

For the coordinating envelope I stamped the cute heart sunburst from the Happiness Enclosed stamp set, also included in the collection, in Orange Twist, Tiara, Lime Rickey, It’s a Boy & Sweet Sixteen inks.  I then stamped the cute sentiment from the same set on top with Midnight ink.

I kept the front of the envelope super simple since it would also included the recipient and return address.  I stamped that adorable tag in the top left hand corner using Party Dress ink & the Happiness Enclosed stamp set.  The striped line at the bottom is stamped with Tiara ink, also using a stamp from the same set.
