Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day!!

This is the card I made for my mother-in-law this year.  I really like these colors together!  It's hard to see in the photo, but I used the woodgrain stamps on my background.

I used the woodgrain impression plate on the New Leaf layer.  Can you see my "oops" in this picture?

I hope that all of the mother's that visit my blog have a great day today and that you get spoiled rotten!  As for me, I asked for a "PTI order" for Mother's Day!!  Notice how I didn't specify a dollar amount! LOL!!  And, for those of you who aren't mothers, I hope that you enjoy your day as well!

Mother's Day

I have the best mom!!  Here's the card that I made for her this year.

The bird, birdcage and branch (which I {heart}!) is from My Cute Stamps "Ashley's Blossoms".  And, of course the sentiment is PTI!!

I embossed the branch and used a tiny little bit of water color crayon on the flowers.

I hope that all of you who are mothers, have a great Mother's Day!!  Thank you for stopping by today!

 Isaiah 49:15-16
"Can a mother forget the baby at her breast
and have no compassion on the child she has borne?
Though she may forget, I will not forget you!
See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands"

This is my favorite Bible verse. I just love the reminder that no matter what Christ will never forget me! He has a visible reminder on His hands of what He went through to save me. A reminder that I am His child.

I found this verse on a stamp a few months back and knew that I had to have it!  What an awesome reminder of God's love for all mankind!

I tried something different with the ribbon.  I created several loops and attached them together with pop dots.  I like the look it adds to the card.

Thanks for stopping by today!  I hope you were blessed!

Floral Fusion

I LOVE PTI's CHA "Floral Fusion" stamp set!  :)  This set has so many beautiful possibilities!  I just had a short time to play with it today and this is the card that I made.

This is based on a sketch for Papertrey Paper Dolls Challenge #2 by Meg that you can see below.

I finally tried the glitter strip!  I love it!  It is so fun and wow! the sparkle it adds in real life is so eye catching!  It was so simple to do too.  I tend to shy away from glitter since it's so messy but the end result might be worth a little hassle! :)

I hope you enjoy my take on the sketch!  I know that I had a lot of fun with it!  If you would like to join us in this challenge, we'd love to have you play along.  The sketch is pictured below.  You can post a link to your card at the end of this post.
