This weekend I received a small PTI order with a stamp set that I have been in love with for a very long time! It's "Scattered Showers" and it is so much fun! I love how you can mix and match the tops with the handle! That is just such a smart way to design a stamp set!
I wanted to make a unique card with this set by making the umbrella look as though it was blowing in the wind. It is hard to make out in the photo, but I stamped swirls from "Fancy Flourishes" in Champagne VersaMark ink to mimic the wind. I stamped them on both sides of the umbrella (you can see it better in real life).
I picked up some pom pom trim from an etsy store a few weeks ago and it was the perfect way to finish off the umbrella! I inked the edge first with some "giverny green" palette ink and then attached the pom pom strip. I think it adds a fun touch! You can see the swirls a little in this photo too. And, I added the pink dots with a glittery pink gel pen...love those pens! :)
I thought that this would be a cute card for someone having a rough time.
Thank you for stopping by!

A Green Thumb
I do not have a green thumb! I love this time of the year when all of the flowers are blooming but I like looking at other people's flowers as I just can't seem to keep mine alive. I am fortunate that the house we live in now, a previous resident took the time to plan out the landscaping so that there is something pretty blooming most of the months of the year (and I don't have to remember to water them!). I love being surprised at what pops up as each season changes!
This is a card I made a few months ago from PTI's "Green Thumb" set. It is about as close as I'll get to planting my own blooming flowers! :) It is another very simple card but I like it because it is simple.
Do you have a green thumb? What did you plant this year? Do you plant a garden or just flowers?
Thank you for visiting my blog today! I appreciate each and every one of you!
Supplies
PTI Green Thumb, Kraft, Ivory, Scarlet Cardstock, L'amore Red & Burnt Umber Ink, PTI Aqua Mist ink, EK Success Border Punch

Generosity
This is the 3rd and final post in this series of "Dot Spot" cards! Sick of them yet? LOL!! Both cards I'm sharing with you today are one layer cards, and I mean that literally! There is no dimension on either of these cards at all! Easy to mail, no hassle, no worries!
The color combo on this first card (above) is so nice! That red "Pure Poppy" dot is definitely the center of attention (even on the side of the card).
This next card, below, is almost the same as the first, just different ink colors, different paper, and different placement.
Again, this is pretty self explanatory!
Supplies
Stamps: Dot Spot, Signature Greetings
Ink Card #1: Pure Poppy, Aqua Mist, Spring Moss
Ink Card #2: Giverny Green Palette, Hibiscus Burst & Spring Rain & Tea Dye Ink
Paper: White & Kraft
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you have an extra special day!!

Girly...You Rock!
Here's another "Dot Spot" card. I told you yesterday, it is a very simple design and utilizes the same colors as the card from yesterday.
I punched the circles with a 1/2" circle punch and then took one of the stamps from "Polka Dot Basics 2" and stamped polka dots on them with VeraMark ink. I adhered them to the centers of the dots with pop dots.
The paper I used is Rustic White, which is such a great color of paper. It has little "wood" like specks in it.
I hope you enjoyed this card! I'd love to hear what you think! Thank you for stopping by!
