Playing With Patterns

Today I found myself taking a little time and playing with different patterns.  For this card I put 2 of the stamps from "Distressed Stripes" and one of the stamps from "Polka Dot Basics" on a block and then stamped the bottom half of the card in Vintage Cream ink.  Then, I took the outline circles and went back in and stamped in Hawaiian Shores ink.  It was fun to mix the patterns.

I used a piece of PTI's new patterned paper "Green Boutique" under the ribbon.  I stamped part of the "Fillable Frames 2" frame at the top first in Vintage Cream and then in Aqua Mist on top of that and I kind of like how that looks.  The pearls are from Basic Grey and the sentiment is from the PTI "Butterfly Dreams" set. 

Isn't that paper just gorgeous?  I really, really like it!

This is the last card using the patterned paper I made with "Distressed Stripes".  You can see the other cards here and here.  This card is a little wild and very, very busy.  :)

I tried something new with the ribbon.  I didn't want to tie a bow but didn't want the ribbon to just lie flat either.  So, I made a loop.  It will easily flatten when in an envelope and kind of a fun element I think.

I love how adding a fun button in the center of the butterfly looks.  It is a fun way to decorate the butterfly up!

Are you singing the song yet?  It's stuck in my head!

Here is another "Star Prints" card.  This is such a versatile set!  It can be used for anything masculine, feminine, baby, graduation, promotion, wedding, etc...  So many possibilities and I really like that option when I purchase my stamps!

The stars, of course, are all stamped.  I used Aqua Mist, Sweet Blush & Spring Moss inks stamped on ivory paper.

Here's a view of the inside of the card.  I don't usually show you those, but I really like how this one turned out!

The sentiment on both the front and inside of the card is from "Swirly Bouquet" which is one of my favorite floral PTI sets.  I really like how the sentiment can be continued to the inside!  The flourishy stamp (can't think of the right term for it now) is from "Vintage Labels".
