Dot Spot

I got the new PTI "Dot Spot" set in the mail today and had to sit down and make a quick card.  I used the Raspberry Fizz & Lemon Tart color combination that I used on this card previously.

You can barely see the background in this photo but I paired the Dot Spot images with another new set I got called "Text Style II".  I wanted to use those two together since it wouldn't be an obvious combination or choice.  Here's a closeup where you can see the background a little better.

Also, I LOVE the PTI Tea Dye inks that are used around the edges of the white & yellow cardstock pieces.  It just finishes everything off.  You can tell from this shot that I stamped a few of the spots with VersaMark on the Lemon Tart paper.

The sentiment is from The Angel Company's "Savvy Sayings" stamp set.  I really love that set!  It has great fonts and sayings in it.

Thank you so much for stopping by!  I'd LOVE to hear what you think!

Birthday Invitations & Cards for Sale

It's hard to believe that my little girl could possbily be 2 years old in just a week.  Time has flown by and she's getting so big!  It just makes me sad to see how fast she's growing and learning things...but it's also exciting too!

I wanted to share the super simple birthday invites that I made for her birthday.

It is so simple.  I wanted it to be very feminine and springy.  I hope that it isn't too "old" for a 2-year old.

The die is the new PTI die that matches the "Butterfly Dreams" stamp set.  The polka dot embossing is from a Cuttlebug folder.

On another note, I would like to start selling my cards.  I haven't quite figured out how I'm going to do this yet, but if you are interested in placing an order for some cards, either ones I've made or something that you need, let me know and I'll get you pricing information!

Thanks for stopping by today!  Have a great weekend!

Spiral Bouquet Take Three

I'm finally getting around to loading the last of the Spiral Bouquet cards that I made at our Stamping Away weekend.  I seriously love this set!  It is a set that is SO versatile because it has the solid images but it also has the outlines of the images as well.  So, you can use it so many ways and with so many colors!  And, I really love how the sentiment from "Signature Greetings" looks with the set.  The "flowing" lines are just a perfect combination!

This last card that I made that weekend is very simple.

Can you believe that there isn't any ribbon on it? LOL!  The sentiment on this one (isn't it so cool!!) is from Star Prints.  I love all the stars in that set but it was the sentiments in it that really sold me on that set!  On this one I couldn't resist getting out my Polka Dot Basics II set to make the dots on the bottom of the card.  It's hard to see but on the red strip I stamped one of the flower images repeatedly to make a background.  I love doing this!

This card uses one of my favorite color combinations too!

Have you checked out the stamps that I have for sale?  Be sure to check them out here!

Thank you so much for stopping by today!  I hope you have an extra special and very blessed day!

A Cupcake a Day...

Good morning!  I wanted to share a card with you that I made for a friend who has a dream to start her own cupcake business.  I thought that this C-U-T-E cupcake stamp from PTI would be the perfect choice and I love how it turned out!

I used a piece of patterned paper to make the wrapper part of the image.  I stamped the cupcake base on the cardstock and cut it out (I know, I don't do THAT very often!).  To make the top of the cupcake, I colored the image with my colored pencils and Odorless Mineral Spirits (OMS).  This has probably become my favoirte way to color in images (I only like to "color" every once in a while).  I tried to attach glitter to the top image but I didn't use enough glue and it kept falling off (which is why you can see little stray pieces on the white cardstock...I didn't get them all brushed off before I took this photo) so I got out my pink Stickles and I love how that turned out!

The green cardstock that I embossed the polka dots on is from Coordinations and the inside of the cardstock has a monochromatic color that matches the outside color.  So, I took my sanding block and sanded off part of the top color and that allowed the lighter green to show through and pop those dots out even more!  Isn't that cool!

Thank you so much for stopping by!  I hope you liked the card!
