Wonderful

**Be sure to check up my updated list of stamps & dies for sale!  Click here for a complete list or click on the tab under my blog header that says Stamps for Sale!  Thanks!

Hello everyone!  I hope you are enjoying this summer day!  I'm (sadly) counting down to going back to work...next Monday I start up again in the school office.  I love my job but I wouldn't complain about another few weeks of summer break, lol!  And here I am talking about summer and today's card is one for Fall!  Now I'm definitely not ready for that yet! :)

Jen Carter Corner Lg Pumpkin 1

This card was made with a few dies recently released from Frantic Stamper.  I used the Large Pumpkin Die and colored it with my zig markers. I love the details that are cut into the die cut!  I placed the pumpkin on top of a piece of patterned paper that I die cut using one of the Stitched Corner-Cut Tags.  I used a few pieces of patterned paper to create the sentiment and added some enamel dots to finish it off.

Thanks for joining me today!  Hope you have a wonderful summer day!

Lil' Inker Designs July Release: Day 1

Hello!  It's time for a new Lil' Inker Designs release! The new products are already available in the  Lil' Inker Designs store!  If you are following along in the blog hop you should have come from Heather Hoffman's blog! There are three $15 gift certificates to the LID store up for grabs, so the more blogs you comment on, the better your chances are of winning!  Today, I have 2 cards to share.

Jen Carter Doodled Daisies Everyday Words 2 wm

This first card is made using a WONDERFUL new set that I have fallen in love with called Doodled Daisies Stamps and they coordinate with the Doodled Daisies Dies.  Honestly, I had to stop myself from using this set on every single card!  Not only are there these beautiful doodled flowers but some gorgeous sentiments (which I'll share later on this week & you can see in the image of the sets at the end of this post).  To color these flowers I used a mixture of watercolor paints and distress inks (used as watercolors) on top of white embossing.

The large "Thanks" is another new die, this one from the Everyday Words Tag Dies set.

Jen Carter Boxed So Happy Quilted Spirals Doodled Daisies 1 wm

For this card I used the Doodled Daisies Stamps and the Doodled Daisies Dies but in a very different way than I did on the first card.  To start this card I used the very cool new Quilted Stitched Spirals Die that stitched a fun, fun pattern into the patterned paper.

Jen Carter Boxed So Happy Quilted Spirals Doodled Daisies 2 wm

I used the new Boxed Up: So Happy for You die, cut in orange, and then layered the Doodled Daisies Stamps and the Doodled Daisies Dies on top.  This time for the flowers, I stamped the solid image with ink (on 2 of them) and then the coordinating detailed outline image on top in a darker ink.  For the turquoise flower I stamped the outline image onto colored cardstock.

All of the Lil' Inker products that I've used (and more!) are available to purchase right now in the Lil' Inker Designs store!  Your next stop on the blog hop is over to Angel Rivera's blog!

Thank you SO MUCH for joining me today!  Be sure to come back tomorrow for more previews of the new products!

The Garden of Life

Hey everyone!  Today I have a card to share using a couple clear stamp sets from Frantic Stamper.

Jen Carter Frantic Stamper Garden Watercolor 2

I started by die cutting my white panel with the Elementals #1 die.  Then, I heat embossed with white the flowers from the Scribble Flowers #1 & Scribble Flowers #2 stamp sets.  I die cut the large flower with the coordinating die set, Scribble Flowers Dies.

To color the flowers, I used many colors of distress inks and my aqua pen.  I really enjoyed doing this!  You can't see it in the picture, but I added some glitter to the flowers & leaves with my Clear Wink of Stella pen.  To add a little dimension to the background of my card, I cut some 1" strips of black cardstock and attached them to the base.  Then, I popped up the white panel with dimensionals and adhered.

I am entering this card in the Clear it Out Challenge where the theme is to use your stash of your favorite product.  Mine is my Wink of Stella glitter pen & also the distress inks that I've been enjoying lately!

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a wonderful day!

Sending Sweet Summer Happiness

**I have lots of new listings for stamp sets for sale on my "Stamps for Sale - Updated" tab above!  Or you can click here.  Take a look if you have time!  Thanks!**

Hello!  It is definitely feeling like true summer weather in Kansas!  It is HOT.  So today I sat down to make a card that reminds me of summer...watermelon!  I must be in a summer fruit mood, because my card for tomorrow also has a summery fruit in it as well, LOL!

Jen Carter Watermelon Happiness

For my background, I die cut the BEAUTIFUL (and boy am I excited to play more with this die!!!) Lattice Flower Square Panel out of light blue cardstock.  I cut it so that it would create a border for my card.  Then I used one of the Stitched Scene Builder Edgers dies to create a curve for the bottom of my patterned paper.  I stamped the sentiment from the new Frantic Stamper clear stamp set Scribble Flowers #1 that is currently available for pre-order.

I die cut the cute Watermelon Slices die with watercolor paper.  Then, I used my water pen & distress inks in various shades of pink/red & greens to color in the slices.  I really enjoyed coloring them this way!  I popped out the white piece and added in a piece that had been die cut with white glitter paper for a little sparkle.

Thank you for stopping in today!

Jen Carter Watercolor Love Closeup

Welcome to the Watercolor Blog Hop!  This challenge is all about using watercolors on a card or project.

Jen Carter Watercolor Love Front

For my card today I started by die cutting a piece of white watercolor paper using a die from Lil' Inker Designs called Dual Dotted Rectangles.  Then, I took my watercolor paints and started painting an ombre like scene at the bottom with my water pen.  I used some flower dies also cut from watercolor paper using Awesome Blossom dies from Lil' Inker.  I used my aquacolor crayons to scribble the colors on an old CD case, spritzed them with water and then picked the colors up and colored with a water pen. The sentiment is from a set called Paint Your Canvas.  I love the sentiments in that set!

Jen Carter Watercolor Love Closeup Glitter

I also added a touch of glitter to parts of the water colored scene for just a little extra glimmer.  It has such a pretty sparkle to it in real life.  I also adhered Pretty Pink Posh's 4 mm & 6 mm Sparkling Clear sequins to the center of the flower and on the card front.

One more watercolor creation to share.  This one I've had sitting on my desk for a while and it seemed like a great time to share it.

It is so much fun creating little canvas's with this Canvas die!  I die cut it from watercolor paper, colored on it with my watercolors and then heat embossed the sentiment from Paint Your Canvas onto the front.  It is such a fun little addition to my stamping area (plus it is a fun gift too)! :)  (The easel is found here.)

I'm entering my card in the Sparkle & Shine Challenge based on the above inspiration photo & am also entering it in Virgina's View Challenge which has an ombre theme as well!

Clearly Whimsy Designs March Release Blog Hop

Welcome to the Clearly Whimsy Stamps March release Blog Hop!

The Clearly Whimsy design team have been sharing creations made with these new stamps and dies over the last couple of days, and today we are celebrating their release with a Grand Blog Hop!

On Thursday, we released 4 new Clearly Whimsy Stamps clear sets and 2 new coordinating crafting dies.

Jen Carter Whimsy Watercolor Circles Circles Thanks

Today I have another watercolor card to share using the Circles, Circles, Circles stamp set.  I had a lot of fun making cards with this set!  For this set I colored several different colors of aquacolor crayons onto an old CD case and then spritzed it with water.  I dipped the stamps in several of the colors and then stamped onto the watercolor paper.  I really like how it turned out!

I then watercolored onto another piece of paper and then die cut the Thanks Large Word die from that paper and adhered. I finished by punching a few tiny holes in the paper and tying a piece of silk ribbon onto the front.

Shine! Clearly Whimsy Release Day 2

Hi everyone and welcome to day two of the Clearly Whimsy Stamps March 2015 release!

We are releasing 4 new clear stamp sets and 2 coordinating die/die sets this week, and they are available to buy from the Whimsy Stamps store RIGHT NOW and selected Whimsy Stamps retailers tomorrow!!

Jen Carter Whimsy Circles Circles Stitched Alphas Bright Front

For my card today I am featuring the new sets Circles, Circles, Circles & Stitched Alphabet Uppercase.

I really enjoyed playing with all of the different types of circles in this set, both solid & outline.  I used various sizes to create the flowing circles and  highlighted a few of them using the outline circle stamps.  Lastly I stamped the sentiment "Shine".  Such a fun alphabet set!  I cut the yellow wave on the side using the previously released Stitched Border Trio Dies.

Jen Carter Whimsy Circles SYSC10

If this card looks familiar it is because I featured it on my blog as a sneak peek last week!  It also uses the Circles, Circles, Circles stamp set & the previously released hello word die.  You can find more information on this card here.

PRIZE ALERT ... We have hidden a fabulous prize of a $15 GIFT CERTIFICATE at one of the stops on today’s hop! We will draw the lucky winner from the comments left here and on today’s design team posts (listed below), so be sure to visit everyone and leave a comment to be entered into the drawing.

Thanks so much for stopping by and we hope to see you again tomorrow for our Release Day hop!

Deco Vases

Hello!  I hope you all had a great weekend! My son had his last football game for the season.  The last game before he joins the Jr. High team next year.  It's kind of hard to believe that he can be that old already.  I'm in a little bit of denial!

On to the card...

Deco Vase Diagonal Stripes Smile

Yes!  I colored!  Can you believe it?  This stamp from Frantic Stamper called Deco Vases is perfect to use with watercolors!  I stamped the image with Tuxedo Black Memento ink and colored away.  To finish, I added the smile die cut from the Diagonal Stripe 3x4 Photo Card and tied a piece of Twinery twine around the mat.  Super easy card!

Congrats!

Hey everyone!  I am getting ready to head to a crafty retreat this week and I am getting so excited! My problem?  Trying to figure out what to bring and what to leave behind!  It's been a while since I've gone away to stamp with friends and this time I'll be meeting some "old" friends and some crafty friends that I know online, but have never met in person!  How fun!  I can't wait!

Today I am sharing a card for the Pink Elephant Technique Challenge which is to emboss somewhere on your card.

Watercolor congrats

I was in a watercolor mood so I pulled out my Clearly Whimsy Distressed Backgrounds stamp set and went to work.  I used only one of the stamps from that set and stamped it repeatedly in different colors of pastel ink.  I then flipped the stamp the other direction and stamped a very light gray (Amuse Pebble) to create an almost watermark feel.

Watercolor Congrats closeup

One of the brushstrokes I embossed in gold.  I really like how this turned out!  The Congrats was stamped with black ink and is also from a Whimsy set called School Spirit.

You can play along with the Pink Elephant Challenge until Sunday!  Thanks for visiting!
