You're the Best!

Jen Carter CP You're the Best in You

You're the Best!
I love the Best in You Stamp Set from Catherine Pooler Designs.  There are so many ways to use it!  For this stamp set I started by stamping a couple of the "flower" images as random circles in lots of happy ink colors: Flirty Fuchsia, Party Dress, Orange Twist, Fiesta Blue, It's a Girl, Tiara.  Then I used a cluster of dots stamps in the set and stamped them randomly in black ink.  I used the tiny circle dot to add a dab of green (Garden Party ink) to each cluster and stamped the dotted line border from the same set.  The sentiment is from the Naturally Inspired SOA box (previously released and available again in the store in a few months).

Double Points

Don't forget that you can get double points all week long at the Catherine Pooler Designs store in celebration of it's first birthday!

Bountiful Blessings

Jen Carter Hatch  Bountiful Blessings Grateful Florals 2

Bountiful Blessings
This month I've shared one of the new stamp sets from Frantic Stamper that I love but wanted to highlight another new stamp set that is equally as beautiful as well called Grateful Florals.  For this card I embossed the image with silver embossing powder and then die cut it with the coordinating Grateful Florals Outline dies.  I colored the flower, stem & leaves with copics.

Jen Carter Hatch Bountiful Blessings Grateful Florals Closeup

For the background I used the Grunge CrossHatch 6x6 stamp (rubber) with versamark ink to create a soft background.  I die cut the window with the Pinprick Squares Die set.  After lining up where I wanted everything to go, I stamped the "bountiful" from the clear Blessings Stamp Set.  I die cut the "Blessings" with the Elegant Blessings die set several times and adhered them together and then attached it to the edge of the window.

Grateful to Have You as a Friend

Grateful to Have You as a Friend

Jen Carter Fabulous Florals Reverse Leaves Closeup

Today I have a very clean and simple card to share using my favorite stamp set ever from Frantic Stamper called Fabulous Florals

Here's a look at the stamp set:

There are a lot of fun options that you can put together using this set.  Being in Kansas and seeing the beautiful fields of sunflowers has me on a sunflower kick lately.  I used a couple of the florals in this set in a sunflower-like color scheme.

Jen Carter Fabulous Florals Reverse Leaves 1

I first die cut the flowers and leaves with the coordinating Fabulous Florals Outlines dies and then embossed the images with white embossing powder. I used my Zig Real Brush Markers to color the images and letting the colors flow together.  After I had the images colored, I used the gorgeous Reverse Cut Leaves dies to die cut additional leaves into the kraft cardstock and then backed them with a green striped patterned paper.  The sentiment is from another new stamp set called Grateful Florals.

RAAA! Have a Dino-Mite Day!

RAAAA! Have a Dino-Mite Day

Jen Carter Hello Dino Raaa Dinomite Day 2

Hello!  I love this new Hello Dino stamp set and Hello Dino Die set from Lil' Inker Designs!  It's so fun to create scenes with!  I started by creating my background paper by repeatedly stamping the RAAAA! sentiment in Black Jack Ink (Catherine Pooler) and then every few lines stamping the Have a Dino-Mite Day stamp in Something Borrowed ink. The blue ink helps to break up the dark gray background.

Jen Carter Hello Dino Raaa Dinomite Day Closeup

I created the scene on a tag that I die cut with the Fringe Scalloped Tag Dies which go so well with the dino theme.  I made the green "grass" using the Deco Edge Border Die.  The dino, cloud and palm tree are from the Hello Dino stamp set and Hello Dino Die set. They are stamped with the Catherine Pool dye inks that I love called Lime Rickey, Aquatini, Orange Twist, Something Borrowed, Icing on the Cake and Grass Skirt.  I tied the tag with Solid Stone twine from The Twinery.

Bringing Out the Best in You

Bringing Out the BEST in You
Hello friends!  I love this sentiment from Catherine Pooler's new stamp set Best in You and wanted to share a card I put together with this set.

Jen Carter CP Surround Yourself Best in You Closeup

I started by die cutting my border with Lil' Inker Designs Dual Dotted Rectangle Dies and also die cut my sentiment panel with a smaller sized die from the same set.

Jen Carter CP Surround Yourself Best in You 2

I first stamped my sentiment panel, coloring in a few of the areas with zig markers and then covering them with a Nuvo Aqua Shimmer pen.  I then used the small and large flowers from the Best in You stamp set, using the sentiment panel as a guide for placement.  For some added detail I stamped the 3 little dots stamp randomly around the flowers.

Jen Carter CP Inks

The magic on this card happens with the inks.  I think that Catherine Pooler's dye inks are the best out there and I know that there are a lot on the market.  I have swatches of quite a few stamp companies inks and these dye inks by far are the best and most vibrant I have EVER used.  To me, other dye inks pale in comparison...literally!  The colors I used are Tiara with Tiki Torch, Sweet Sixteen with Pixie Dust, It's a Girl with Party Dress, It's a Boy with Something Borrowed, Garden Party with Lime Rickey.

Thank you for taking a look today!  Have a great day!

Modern Happy Birthday

Modern Happy Birthday
Have you checked out the modern word die collection from Frantic Stamper?  I LOVE them! Below is the Modern Happy die which I am using on my card today.

Jen Carter Modern Happy Birthday 2

I'm not really sure why, but I had a hard time photographing this card to do it justice. In real life I think it looks a lot cuter. 😉 This card was simple to put together.  I die cut the "Happy" out of a piece of white cardstock that I had die cut using the Pinprick Rectangles Dies

Jen Carter Modern Happy Birthday Closeup 6

I backed the cut out happy with striped patterned paper. The birthday was stamped with a sentiment from the Many Happy Birthdays stamp set with Catherine Pooler's Aquatini ink.  The white panel is popped up with dimensional tape.

It's Your Birthday! Celebrate!

It's Your Birthday! Celebrate!
You probably didn't know it was your birthday today!  ðŸ˜Š  It is my dad's birthday today so happy birthday to him!  (This card is not for him, it's a little too feminine, LOL!)

Jen Carter Eat Cake Fringe Tag Birthday 1

This Eat Cake Die set from Lil' Inker Designs is a lot of fun to blend inks with.  For this cake I used inks from Catherine Pooler (It's a Girl, Flirty Fuchsia & Tiara).  I used white gel pen to make the stripes on the candles and added glossy accents to the flames.  I stamped the sentiment from the coordinating Eat Cake Stamp set.

Jen Carter Eat Cake Fringe Tag Birthday Closeup

I attached the cake to a vellum tag that I die cut with the new Fringe Scalloped Tags Die set and then attached that tag to a larger tag die cut with the same set.  The purple & white patterned paper was die cut using the Dual Dotted Rectangles Dies.  I added twine from the Twinery and some raindrop dots to finish the card off.

Stamp of Approval Counting Blessings

Hold onto your seats because it's time for another Stamp of Approval Box from Catherine Pooler!

Introducing Counting Blessings
This Stamp of Approval box is called Counting Blessings and the contents really spoke to me!  In the best of times and even in the darkest of times we all have so much to be thankful for and I love being able to celebrate that through this beautiful stamping hobby!  This box made that easy!  I created so many cards it was hard to narrow down what to share today!

If you are unsure what the Stamp of Approval Box is, it is a quarterly hand picked, exclusive collection of products that were designed just for the box. The stamps, dies and other fun products in the Stamp of Approval Collection won’t be released for individual sale for several months over at the Catherine Pooler store.  Be sure to subscribe to the Wait List so you will be emailed the purchase link when the collection goes on sale on August 16th! These boxes do sell out quickly!  And last quarter they sold out in record time!

Good Things are Within Reach

For my first card I wanted to show how versatile these products are.  While they have a Fall-like theme, they can be used for so many other things!  On this first card I used one of my favorite products from the box called Geo Trio Stencil.

Jen Carter Good Things Hearts wm

I used the Counting Blessings: Geo Trio Stencil included in the box to sponge the black polka dots onto white cardstock.  I am a sucker for black & white backgrounds so I was super excited to create my own with this stencil. I love how the dots gradually get smaller as you go! I used the wonderful new Black Jack ink (and I do mean, if you don't have Catherine Pooler's ink you need to head to the store right now! It's the BEST!)

Jen Carter Good Things Hearts Closeup wm

For my panel I stamped a sentiment from the Counting Blessings: Good Things Stamp Set, also using Black Jack ink (it's a fabulous dark gray).  I think you'll love this stamp set as it has great sized sentiments for lots of occasions.  The little scroll at the bottom of the panel is also from this set.  For the hearts in the middle and bottom right hand corner I used dies from the  Counting Blessings: Tags, Etc die set.

So Grateful
For this next card I went with a Fall theme and used a fun color scheme of All that Jazz (coming to the Catherine Pooler store soon), TiaraTutti Frutti & Grass Skirt inks.

Jen Carter So Grateful 2 wm

I started by creating the chevron piece down the side.  I used the Counting Blessings: Geo Trio Stencil again, sponging with Tiara ink.  I splashed some water on the strip to make the water marks.  I die cut the tag with the Counting Blessings: Tags, Etc die set.  Then I stamped the sentiments which are GORGEOUS with Tutti Frutti & Black Jack ink (did I mention that this ink is must have??  How did I ever live without it? 😊) from the Counting Blessings: Autumn Blessings stamp set.  There's lots of great mix & match sentiments in this set in a beautiful font.

The leaves were stamped with the new Counting Blessings: Leaf Motifs stamp set.

Count Your Blessings

Count Your Blessings

Jen Carter Watercolor Fabulous Florals Blessings 2

Frantic Stamper has a new release and I love the new Fabulous Florals stamp set & coordinating Fabulous Florals Outline dies.  I used several of the floral stamps for this card in a sunflower color palette.  I die cut my white panel with one of the Pinprick Rectangles dies. After embossing the images in white, I colored them with Zig Real Brush markers.  It was fun to move the color around until I got the mix of yellow and orange that I wanted.  In the center of the flowers I used a mixture of blues and browns.

Jen Carter Watercolor Fabulous Florals Blessings Closeup

To create the sentiment panel, I cut a piece of striped vellum and then embossed the "Count Your" sentiment from the new Blessings Stamp Set with gold embossing powder.  I die cut the Elegant Blessings Word die several times and stacked them on top of each other for depth and then attached it on top of some gold thread I wrapped around the panel.

Thank you so much for joining me today!

Lil' Inker Designs August Release Day 3

Welcome back to the last day of the Lil' Inker Designs August release!  If you are following along in the blog hop you should have come from Heather Hoffman's Blog All of the products are currently available in the Lil' Inker Designs store, so you can start shopping now! :)

Hello Dinos!
Today's post is all about fun!  I'm showcasing Hello Dino Stamps, Hello Dino Dies, Cover Up Die: Hello Beautiful & the Deco Edge Border dies.  I have two cards to share today.

RAAAA! Means Happy Birthday
First up is this cute party hat wearing dino card.

Jen Carter Hello Dino Birthday 2 wm

I started by die cutting my cute dinosaurs from the Hello Dino Die Set and then stamped them with the coordinating Hello Dino Stamp Set using some bright ink colors to match the fun patterned paper I was planning to incorporate.  I colored the spots on the triceratops with a matching copic marker.  I made the rock piece by diecutting a patterned rock paper with the Speech Bubbles Die Set and then die cut the top with the zig zag border from the Border Builders Die Set.  The party hat & balloon are die cut with the Mini Party die set which is PERFECT for adding fun details like these to all of your little creature images!  The Circles Banner Die was the perfect way to finish off my "speech bubble" panel.

Hello Dino-Mite Friend
For this last card I wanted to go feminine with the dinosaurs.

Jen Carter Hello Dino Deco Edge Hello Beautiful Dinomite 1 wm

For this card I used the new Hello Dino Stamp Set and Hello Dino Die Set with pinks & purples.  I started by die cutting the cool Cover Up Die: Hello Beautiful in an aqua cardstock and backing it with yellow.  To create the ground layers, I used the new Deco Edge Border dies.  They make nice, rocky and grassy layers.  The palm trees, grass, sentiment & dinos are all from the Hello Dino Stamp Set and Hello Dino Die Set.  If you notice on the aqua dino I added some purple "hair" for fun.  The sun is from the previously released Sunshine Die Small.
