Happy in Love

Hey everyone!  Yesterday was my very first day of Summer Break!  Yippee!! I finished up all of my work in the school office and relaxed yesterday!  It was SO NICE! :)  My daughter had her first t-ball game of the season last night and it was just a good day!

Today I am sharing a card that I'll be entering in the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Blog Challenge.  This week is featuring Lil' Inker Designs products so I thought it was a perfect week to play along!

Jen Carter Circles 1.2

This card was stamped with the Lil' Inker Designs Spot on Spring Stamp set.  This set has such cute options in it and more of those wonderful, large scale sentiments!  I used Avery Elle ink (which is a wonderful ink if you haven't tried it yet!!) and stamped the images on watercolor paper. I added in a few flat sequins to the mix as well.  The dotted lines under "Happy" are from the It's Today Right set.

Here's another view.  A few of the images I stamped off once before stamping on my paper so it is very hard to see them when I took a picture, but you can barely  make out the outlines in this photo (above the Happy).  Anyway, you can see them in real life, lol!

If you like Lil' Inker Designs, be sure to stop by next week as we kick off another release!! You are going to love it!  I've been having a great time preparing for this one!

I hope you have a wonderful day!!   Thanks for stopping by!

Papertrey May Blog Hop Challenge: Have a Beautiful Day

Hello!  Today, at the last minute, I decided I wanted to play along with the PTI blog hop!  It was the perfect day to do so as it was just a quiet, lazy day at home after church this morning and what better kind of day to pull out the craft supplies!

The theme for this month was to create a card using aqua & melon!  I love those colors together!

Have a Beautiful Day

I used the beautiful butterfly dies from PTI called Life is Beautiful.  I LOVE, LOVE the size of the butterflies in this set!  I really like that this one is so large and detailed!  Beautiful indeed!

Have a Beautiful Day Closeup

I had fun creating this background too!  It's so easy to pull out a few key colors but not overshadow the main focal point.  The sentiment I stamped with black StazOn ink and then embossed the "beautiful" in gold.  I really like how you can still see the background through the vellum.

Here's the inspiration piece we were working from.

I hope you enjoyed this card!  Thank you for stopping by today!  If you'd like to participate or see the other entries in the blog hop, visit Nichole's blog!

Spring Greetings!

**Be sure to check out the stamps I have for sale here!**

Hey all!! The last few days have felt a little more springy here in Kansas!  Yippee!! Tomorrow though...back to the heat.  It's going to be a FUN day though because for our elementary school's end of the year celebration we are have an Amazing Race!  We will break into our Fab Family teams (one kid from each grade K - 6th) and compete at stations across town to see who will win the Amazing Race.  I sure hope my horribly out-of-shape body is up for this challenge, lol!  I LOVE the Amazing Race TV show so this is super exciting for me! :)

Well...back to the Spring theme.  Since we only have a few days until Summer vacation, I decided to share a Springy card today here on the blog.

Spring Greetings Tag Card

These Spring Flowers from Lil' Inker Designs seemed like a fun item to pull out.  I cut the flowers out of some corrugated paper from DCWV and I really like the texture it gave the flowers.

The flowers are adhered onto the Anytime Tag dies.  The sentiment, which I love the font for, is also from Lil' Inker Designs and is the Spring Sentiments stamp set.

Thanks for stopping by today!  I hope you have a wonderful Spring day!

Happy Mother's Day!

Tomorrow is Mother's Day!  What a special day to celebrate!  Already I have received a project that each of my kiddos made in school, a pipe cleaner & bead bracelet from my daughter, cards hand drawn from both and a bouquet of flowers!  They sure know how to make a mom feel special!

We celebrated Mother's Day with my mom a little early this year and so I already gave her the card I made.

AE Mom's Day 2014 Side

It doesn't actually say mom on the outside of it, but that's OK!  I started with patterned paper from Dear Lizzy's Day Dreamer set and die cut it with Lil' Inker's Stitched Mats Rectangles die.  The sentiment that is stamped is one of my favorites from Avery Elle.  It is from the Oh Happy Day set.  Since I die cut the word "love" (from Paper Smooches) I masked off the AE sentiment and only stamped the "you" from the set.  I just LOVE the scripty font in this stamp set!  The flowers I stamped are also included in that same set.

AE Mom's Day 2014 Closeup

I die cut the "love" from black glitter paper and adhered it to two others that I also die cut from black cardstock.  I also added some white enamel dots.

She loved it and said it reminded her of her mom that passed away this year.  Kind of a bittersweet Mother's Day for her but we know that Grandma is celebrating in Heaven!

I am entering this in the Avery Elle AEI♥U Challenge which is to make a Mother's Day themed card.

Thank you for stopping by today!  If you are a mother or a mother at heart, I hope you have a wonderful day!

Hello? Spring??

**Check out the stamps I have for sale here!**

Hey!! It is SO hot here in Kansas!! It is not suppose to be in the 100's and 90's in May already!  It might be a very long summer!

With that in mind, I am wishing and hoping and keeping my fingers crossed for Spring!  So, in the hopes that some cooler days will still come to visit, I have a Spring card to share with you that I made some time ago.

Hello Spring Bunny 1.1

I am so in love with these little bunny dies from Lil' Inker Designs!! They are the sweetest!!  I've previously shared some baby projects I made using them but they are perfect for all things Spring too!  Just this morning a girl came into the office at school and said that a dog was chasing a baby bunny and she had to scare the dog off to save the bunny.  I love the season which signifies new life!

Hello Spring Bunny Side

I cut the bunny from a thick sheet of linen vellum and then embossed the sentiment.  I love how you can see the paper subtly peaking out from behind the vellum.  My friend Amy...now she's the QUEEN of vellum...if you'd like to see what she does with this stuff, visit her blog here!

I hope that you are enjoying slightly cooler days in your neck of the woods!  Here's to some 70's!  (Fingers crossed!)  Thanks for stopping by!
