Blessed to Call you Friend

Today I have another interactive card to share with a flair toward Fall.

Jen Carter Reap Harvest Tombstone Thankful

I love the contrast of color against black & white stripes so that I how I started this card.  I used the Tombstone Peek-a-boo die from Lil' Inker Designs to create the interactive element to the card by die cutting it into the top center portion.  I love that one side of the die scores so that it creates a "door" but also a perfect frame.  To decorate the sides of the frame I used the lovely new Fall stamp set Reap a Harvest and the coordinating Reap a Harvest dies.  The sentiment, embossed in copper, is from Pumpkin & Flower Greetings stamp set.

Jen Carter Reap Harvest Tombstone Thankful Partial Open

With the frame partially opened the card looks like this above.

Jen Carter Reap Harvest Tombstone Thankful Open

And here it is fully opened.  I used the sentiment (LOVE this font!) and more Fall floral decorations from the Reap a Harvest stamp set.  The card does still open so that you can write on the inside, just like a normal card would.

Thanks for joining me today!

Give Thanks!

Jen Carter Stitched Pumpkins Ornate Thanks

Sometimes there is a die that comes along that you just absolutely love.  I can say that about this new Give Thanks die from Frantic Stamper.  It is beautiful!  There are even little "extra" pieces that you can use to paper piece some of the flowers with!  I layered that sentiment on top of two pumpkins that I cut using the Stitched Pumpkins die set.  They were all placed on top of a patterned wood panel die cut with Elementals #1.

Fall Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

Today I am joining in on the Fall Coffee Lovers Blog Hop! I do enjoy a good cup of (very flavored!) coffee!  Yum!

For my card today I first want to share my inspiration.

And my card...

Jen Carter Fall Coffee Cozy Wishes 1

I wasn't sure that it would make sense without seeing the inspiration photo first!  I used products from Lil' Inker Designs to recreate the photo.  I started by first die cutting the awesome leaf  from patterned paper with the Leaf Loves Dies.  I then die cut a circle from the Stitched Mats: Circles die set and stamped the leaf from the cute (and new!) Reap a Harvest stamp set.  I added a handle using a little piece from the Mini Bow Die Set.  The sentiment is perfect for Fall and is from the Coffee Cozy Stamp set.  Last but not least, I die cut a border on my wood paper with the largest die in the Stitched Mats: Side Stitched Rectangle set.

I had a fun time playing with these colors.  At first they had me stumped, but once I found this fun cat paper print, it all started to come together.  The speech bubble is from a PTI stamp set called Sweet Speech.  The cat paper was die cut with Lil' Inker Designs new Wonky Rectangles Dies and the outer edge was diecut with Stitched Mats: Side Stitched Rectangles.

Here's this week's inspiration photo with the challenge colors.

I hope you'll join us this week for the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #376!  Thanks for stopping by!

Super Hero Strength

Hello friends!  Today's card is one that was a lot of fun to put together and I mixed quite a few Frantic Stamper products together to create it.

Jen Carter Flying Superhero Friend

I started by die cutting the Starfall Reverse Cut die into my patterned paper and then backing it with a psychedelic-like glittery paper. :)  I die cut my Flying Hero and then paper pieced his cape with red cardstock.  I thought it would be fun to have him carrying the earth, die cut with the Planet Earth die.

The stamp set, one of my favorites, that I stamped the sentiment from is called Super Sayings.

If you haven't checked out all of the superhero themed products from Frantic Stamper, you're missing out!  Take a look HERE.

Jen Carter Batty Hugger Tag Closed

This little tag was so fun to put together!  I started by die cutting one of the Dotted Tags Dies. I then added a glittery moon, die cut with the Stitched Mats: Circles dies.  I attached a bat from the Bats & Broomsticks die set.  I then die cut the bat with the Batty Hugger Die and stamped his face & ears with the Batty Hugger Stamp Set (sold as a bundle).

Jen Carter Batty Hugger Tag

I stamped the sentiment from the Batty Hugger Stamp Set & then attached a Halloween chocolate to the inside of the bat.  Such a fun and easy gift!  You could also attach a small, fun themed eraser that can often be found in dollar bins.

Jen Carter Zombie Kids Birthday wm

This last card features another new stamp & die set called Zombie Kids Stamps & Zombie Kids Dies.  I die cut the largest Anytime Tags 2 Die out of my polka dotted paper.  I then die cut a smaller one from that same die set for my tag.  I attached the sentiment, from the Zombie Kids Stamps, to the tag (die cut with the Stitched Mats: Long & Skinny Rectangles) and angled my zombie girl onto the tag.  The polka dot paper and the chevron tag are all popped up with dimensionals.

Lil' Inker Designs July Release: Day 2

Welcome to day 2 of the Lil' Inker Designs Release!  All of the products being shown today are currently available in the Lil' Inker Designs store!  If you are following along in the blog hop you should have come from my friend Chrissy Larson's blog. There are three $15 gift certificates to the LID store up for grabs, so the more blogs you comment on, the better your chances are of winning!

Jen Carter Wonky Spiderweb Greeting front wm

This first card was a lot of fun to put together.  I started by cutting the aqua wood background with one of the new Wonky Rectangle Dies.  It made a wonderful card front and it's always a special surprise to get a shaped card!  I then die cut the new Spiderweb Greeting Die from purple glitter paper & die cut the sentiment, included in the set, from orange glitter paper and the cute spider from the set from black fun foam.

Jen Carter Halloween Word Tag Mummy Boo Light

For my next project I wanted to do something a little different. I took a Mason jar and attached a foam "mouth" and googly eyes and then wrapped it with gauze.  I then tied on a purple glitter "boo" die cut from the Halloween Word Tag Dies and added the glittery black spider from the Spiderweb Greeting Die.

Jen Carter Halloween Word Tag Mummy Boo dark

I put a candle inside of the jar and lit it and it glowed so bright and looked so cool!  It would be a fun project for kids at school or a great one at home too!  Also a fun and easy gift idea!

Jen Carter Pumpkin Flower Stamps Stitched Pumpkin Acorn 2

Last card for today is a twist on the new Pumpkin & Flower Greetings Stamps and Dual Stitched Pumpkin & Grateful Word Die.  I tried to make the pumpkin look like an acorn.  My husband thought it still looked like a pumpkin.  Oh well. :) I used one of the gorgeous stamps from the stamp set and colored it in with my Inktense pencils after I had embossed it with Copper Embossing Powder.  I cut the top part of the "pumpkin" off and then attached it to try to make it look like an acorn.  The little leaf was die cut from the Acorns Die Set & the larger stitched leaves were die cut with the Leaf Love Die Set.  The sentiment is from the Nuts About You Stamp Set.

Lil' Inker Designs September Release: Day 1 & a Special

Hello!  It's time for a new Lil' Inker Designs release! The new products are already available in the  Lil' Inker Designs store!  If you are following along in the blog hop you should have come from Heather Hoffman's blog! There are three $15 gift certificates to the LID store up for grabs, so the more blogs you comment on, the better your chances are of winning!  Today, I have 2 cards to share.

I mentioned a special in my title and the details of that are at the end of this post!

Jen Carter Reap a Harvest wm

Up first is my favorite for this release!  The fall stamp set on this card is called Reap a Harvest and of course there are coordinating Reap a Harvest Dies too.  It's gorgeously drawn!  I love that there are line drawn and solid stamps with this set.  It can be used so many ways.

Jen Carter Reap a Harvest front wm

And that sentiment...LOVE!  Also from Reap a Harvest stamp set (which only makes sense, LOL!).

Jen Carter Super Kids Tombstone wm

For my 2nd card I did something a little untraditional.  That navy & aqua paper is from a new paper pack called Super Kids Paper.  I cut my square mats with the Stitched Mats: Dual Stitched Squares Dies.  I cut the opening (more on that later) with a new die called Tombstone Peek-a-boo Die (yeah, I really did say Tombstone!).

I also used some previously released products to decorate the front from the Cut it Out Clouds & Accessories die set (clouds & lightening).  The "open" is from a stamp in the Boo & Faces Stamp Set.

Jen Carter Super Kids Tombstone Partial Open

The Tombstone Peek-a-boo Die is fun & unique in that it scores on one side which works like a hinge so that it can be opened up.  So fun!  I felt like the shape of the die made the perfect door for...

Jen Carter Super Kids Tombstone Open 2 wm

...a little super kid!  This Super Kid stamp set is so adorable, and it also has coordinating Super Kid Dies.  I colored him with copics.  I put a Seasonal Star die behind him die cut from the Tribal Chic Paper Pad.  The "My Hero" sentiment is also from the  Super Kid stamp set.

Are you ready to hear about the special?
