Blessed **Sparkly** Wedding Day :)

If you know me, you know that I love to add sparkle to a card!! If it sparkles, I like it! :)

I decided to try using our new Dazzle Champagne VersaMark and clear embossing powder on Ivory Cardstock and see what the result would be. Here it is:

What do you think? I love it!

I saw a tip on someones blog recently about using clear embossing powder on cream cardstock and had to try it myself. Isn't the result stunning? It is so elegant. When I was done, it just said "wedding" to me. So, I added the sentiment, a button and ribbon and that was all there was to it.

Isn't the ribbon pretty? I got that super cheap on clearance. I LOVE all that glitter (but it does make a little mess too). Please excuse the little glitter pieces all over the card!

I'm not sure if the Dazzle made any difference on the embossed image, but none the less it is still gorgeous! :)

Card Evolution

I received a store-bought thank you card in the mail that I loved (this girl has GREAT taste in design) and decided to recreate it with TAC stamps that I have. The card above is the card I received. Pretty, huh? The next few cards show what my take on that card was.

Started out simple (notice the score lines above the image).

Decided it would be pretty with a ribbon added.

Thought it would be pretty in a different color, with a different "theme".

Also wanted to try the same card with a different image.

Now those cards look different, but they are the same design. Ink color, ribbon choice, stamp choice and even sentiment choice are all that made the difference. And these cards were QUICK!! You could easily make a set of six or so in 5 minutes...depending on how fast you tie those ribbons!

July Angel Art Blog Hop: Replenish your Card Stash

It's time for another TAC blog hop!! These are so much fun! This month's theme was basically whatever goes! I decided to focus on birthday cards and used all new sets to create the cards. SO much fun and quite a bit of variety.

You can see in the photo below that I used white liquid applique to add some foam to the top of the mug. I also used the FUN & NEW clear Stardust Glitter Gel Pens (comes in a pack of 2 and are MUST HAVES!!) to highlight the steam coming out of the mug.

Here are a few more cards that I made for the June Promotional Playlist that I have yet to share with you. Unfortunately, these sets are not currently available, but hopefully we'll see their return in the future (keeping my fingers crossed!!).

This first one is fun! I tried to make the bird look like he was in the window. The brown part is a window shade/canopy. I used my scor-pal to make the lines in it and then folded it so that it had dimension on the page.

Below is the another sample that I made using the "Fruit Collage" set. Instead of using the whole image as it was, I used my circle punch to punch out just a portion of the image and then used it as a tag on my card. Very, very simple and easy! There wasn't even any coloring involved even though this would typically be considered an image that you would color.

Here are a few more older cards that I've made. The first one uses Uptown Girl paper, "My Girl" and "Artsy Elements" (now retired). I stamped the flourish in the corner and then used a white gel pen to accent the dots.

This card uses Cha Cha paper, and orange & purple bazzill. I stamped the bottom border with a swirl from the "Salsa Flowers" set (now retired). The sentiment is from "My Girl" and the circle stamp is from "Circle Sampler". The orange was crimped with a paper crimper and the bottom scallop was cut with cloud scissors.

This next card is by no means one of my favorites. It uses Catelynne & Kraft paper. I created the stamped scallops with one of the circles in "Circle Sampler". The butterfly is from "Butterfly Bits" and is highlighted with souffle gel pens.

No Bunny Like You

Here are a few more cards for you that I made a while back. These cards all use the "No Bunny Like You" set and TAC's Angelee paper. This is a great Easter set but it can also but used for other all-occassion type cards as well.

On the first card, I stamped the bunny, then took and drew a circle around where I would later use a punch to punch the circle shape. Before, I punched it out though, I cut out her ears with an exacto knife those parts that would be out of the circle. Then, I carefully punched the image out using my circle punch. I also took a larger punch and punched a circle out of the patterned paper allowing the purple cardstock behind to show through.

Here's a closeup of how the image looks with the ears extended outside of the punched area. You can see a darker purple behind the ears. That is a shadow because the circle image is also on pop dots.

The flowers are colored with my sparkling glitter gel pens (LOVE those!!).

The second card, shown below, pretty much speaks for itself. All of the ribbon I used is from TAC. Isn't it gorgeous!! The purple tag is one of the tags punched from the paper pack and it is popped up with pop dots. The little button on the end of the tag is from the Polo Button Brad collection that TAC sells. Those things are so CUTE!! I colored the images with either watercolor crayons or with water colored pencils.

All Occasion Sets

Here are a few more cards I made for the design call TAC issued to demonstrators last year that didn't make it into the catalogue.

This first one uses the sets "Mini Occasions" & "Little Things" and the paper is TAC Kraft (my favorite!!), Brown Bazzill and Lilly Anna paper.

The second one uses Rustic Chic paper & the "Linear Sentiments" set. I think this card looks so much better in real life. I'm not really liking it looking at it now.

Linear Sentiments is such a good all occasion set. You can use it for generic celebrations, birthdays, friendship cards, thank yous, get well, etc. You can even easily make your own backgrounds with it! I LOVE it!!

Best {Wedding} Wishes

I have a family wedding to attend today and the bride's colors are pink and orange. This is the card that I made for her.

I used my favorite all occasion set "Victorian Elements". Man, I LOVE this set!! It is SO versatile. A few days ago you saw my card that I made with this same set that had a birthday theme! I used a sketch to make this card. Every other week a sketch is posted on a website for TAC demos. Here is the sketch I used:

There are a few things I want to point out about this card. See the slightly "wet" looking spot on the brown cardstock above? That is made with VersaMark Dazzle Champagne. This is a new ink that TAC is carrying and you will want to add it to your stash!! It still gives the watermark effect on cardstock but with a sparkle!! That is so cool!

Also, see the brown writing under the pink flower image? That was made by using the "Script Background" stamp and inking it up, stamping it once on scratch paper and then stamping it again on the white cardstock.

Also, the sentiment is a new stamp! Love it!! It's from the Level C Hostess Set "Thinking of You".

Well, TAC has discontinued quite a few accessories from the new catalogue and they are having a sale!! All discontinued products are 25% off while supplies last!

I do have some SAD news though!! One of the discontinued products is my favorite glue Designer Dries Clear Glue. I will miss that stuff A LOT!!! So, if you want it, you better get it now before it is all gone!! TAC said that some stuff has very limited supplies.

Great Greetings

I LOVE the new greetings set, called "Great Greetings" that we have in the newest Angel Company catalog!! It is so fun!!

The sentiments I used on this card are from that set. I love that there is something for the outside of the card and something for the inside of the card also!!

This is such a simple card--and a one layer card too. I just stamped an image from "Victorian Elements" with the awesomely pretty Turquoise Gem VersaMark ink on Kraft paper and then added the sentiment over that with Burnt Umber Palette ink. I rounded the corners with the new Corner Chomper tool that TAC has. It is awesome!! The only other thing that I did was add a small jewel.

SIMPLE!!! But, I love the end result!

Scor-Pal Trucks

I told you yesterday that Mason wanted to make the scor-pal UPS & USPS trucks so that's what we did today. It was a lot of fun and he is a pretty creative little guy.

Here's how they turned out (the logos are copyright of UPS & USPS). I made the UPS truck and he made the USPS truck.

Without me even mentioning it and without seeing a photo of it, he decided to draw the bumper and headlights on. I thought that was so cute!

Cutest Little Red Wagon

Scor-pal just uploaded a new newsletter to their site and it has a template for the CUTEST little red wagon! When I saw it, I just had to make it!! I left my wagon very plain but it would be so fun to decorate it up! And, I can just see a PINK little wagon on my table very soon!! Here is a link to the Scor-pal tutorial and to the handle template.

Below are closeups of the cards that I made to go into the wagon. I made 4 simple cards using the new TAC "Starfly" set. When I first saw this set I didn't like it and then as I looked at it more I thought it would be a fun one to work with. How funny that it is one of the first ones I used! I even asked Laurie if she thought I was crazy that I liked it and she said that she too kind of liked it!

The background for the cards was stamped with 2 of the images from the "Starfly" set, stamped repeatedly. I love how the background looks. It would make awesome paper for a scrapbook page!!

Here's the back of the wagon. I stamped a little design on the back too!

Mason saw my wagon and said "Why are wagons always red?" Good question! He wanted to make a wagon too, but his was going to be BLUE!! Here's what he made (along with 2 red ones too). He said he was having a wagon party and even made paper balloons for the party too! What a great project to make with your kids and grandkids!! We're going to make the UPS one next, also on Scor-pals website!

And, how fun would these be with name place cards in them for your next party!! TOO fun!!
