I AM Still Here!!

Sorry that it's been a while since I've posted something to my blog! I do have a pretty good reason though! Her name is Sadie and she's just 2 weeks old now!

Isn't she a sweetheart?? :)

She's already cheering for KU too! Rock Chalk Jayhawks!!

Anyway, I seldom have time on the computer now and when I do I am often typing with one finger (like now!!) while I'm holding her so it's difficult to get too much done!

I'll be back soon with some more projects for you though. I promise!

Take care and have a nice weekend!

Criss Cross Juliette

This was a fun card to make! It is called a criss cross card and the outside of the card is almost like an envelope. The burgandy piece around the bottom of the card is a band that slips on and off. I used my "Running Stitches" stamp to make a border on the top and bottom of the band and then added the ribbon to the middle.

When you pull the inside piece out, here is what you have:

I used the Juliette paper pack from TAC--gorgeous paper! The stamp sets that I used are all by TAC: "Oh How", "Floral Dingbats", "Running Stitches", Level A Hostess Set "Swoops & Swirls".

You can see by the closeups shown below (sorry they are a little fuzzy--I couldn't get the camera to focus properly) that I added stickles to the 2 flower circle pieces.

You might also notice that I stamped with VersaMark on the purple tab (that I made with the Merchandise Tag punch in the catalog) using the "Swoops & Swirls" set to add just a touch of color and design.

I love the sentiment from the "Oh How" stamp set and it fits perfectly in the corner of this card. It's a great one for the inside of cards!

Doodle Bugs Baby Card

My cousin is having a baby in April and I made this card for her using the new TAC "Doodle Bug" stamp set and Toodle Loo paper. I actually made this design for a onesie but then realized that I didn't have a plain onesie the right size so I adapted it to a card instead.

I wish that you could have seen all of the sparkle. I used Fabrico markers to color the image and then used the Shimmers Chalk on top of that to add sparkle to the design. I loved how it glimmered! I also used a gray tombow marker to outline the snail to help it to pop and made the entire image piece pop up using pop dots. The letters come from the "Swirly-Bet" set and the flourish at the bottom that the snail is sitting on is from the "Fancy Punctuation" set.

Here's a view directly from the front.

I really like this set--I think that it's adorable!!
