Fun with New Stamps!!

I am sorry that it has been so long since I've updated! Time just goes by so fast sometimes! I wanted to share with you a few cards that I've made using a few of the new stamp sets!

These first two cards were made using the "It's Always Springtime" stamp as the main focal image. I love, love, love this stamp set. It is just gorgeous!

On this first card, I used the squiggles from the "Salsa Flowers" set on Matchmakers paper which has a white core and stamped the image in Versamark and then sanded over the images so that the squiggles popped out. The main image is stamped with Mango Madness VersaMagic Chalk ink. The wonderful thing about this stamp set is that it was designed to be used with the Mega Clever Lever Square Punch that is in the TAC catalog. I also outlined the square with a blue VersaMagic ink to help it stand out. I finished off the green rectangle by paper piercing (fun, fun!!) a small corner border.

Here is another sample using the exact same focal image stamp as in the card above. See how different of a look you can achieve with even the SAME stamp?

On this one, I used the same Mango Madness VersaMagic ink to stamp the flower square and then I took my Shimmers Chalk (love this chalk too!!) and added dimension to the solid part of the image. I then took my dove blender and chalk and carefully colored in the flower image. It gives it a totally differnt look! The background flower on the green cardstock is stamped in VersaMark with the "Blooming Builders" set and the pink tag is from the new TAC "Mimi" paper pack.

Here a couple more cards that I just made today after seeing a card that Heidi made. Click here to see her card. When I saw the beauty and simplicity of her card I knew that I wanted to make a version like it. Both of these cards use the "Blooming Builders" stamp set and VersaMagic Chalk inks. They both turned out very simple, yet elegent. The words are from "Whimsical Greetings" (rejoice) and "Soft Spoken" (always). I paper pierced the lines that form the border around the flowers.

I am working on another post that will feature my very first Guest Designer, Laurie Willison. I think that you will love her work! That will be coming in the next few days so be sure to watch for it!

New Hostess Sets

While I am still awaiting my new catalog order from TAC, I thought that I would share a few samples I've made using a couple of the new hostess sets!

This stamp is from the Level B stamp set called "Goodness of God". I really like this set. It is so much fun and has a reverse image tree stamp, like the one on the card, for each season plus the saying which is also on the card. I've paired this set with the Catelynne papers from TAC and used my Crop-a-Dile to set the eyelets on this card.

This card is made using the Level C stamp set called "Spring Dream". How fun is THIS set?? If you like flowers, you'll like this set! This one contains a total of 10 stamps and 3 of them are flowers. However, I cut two of my flower stems apart from the flowers so my set has 12 stamps in it. Now I can use the two stems with any flower set I want and it makes it very versatile. It is hard to see on this photo, but I took and paper pierced a few holes around the saying. It adds just the right touch.

This is also from the same stamp set "Spring Dream". On this card I paper pierced holes to make the half circle and also used the tool on the butterfly's path. The bottom of the card has a swirly watermarked effect and that was created with a stamp also included in this set. The word "Blossom" came from another new stamp set called "My Journey".
With this last card I also issued a challenge on Paper Wings, which is a website for TAC Angel Demos only, that I would also like to issue here. Posted below are the colors that I used on that card. The challenge is to make a card using these colors and then either post a link to your card in the comment section on this post or email me your card and I can upload it to my blog for you. This is a fun summer color combination!

Happy creating!!

Home Decorating Ideas

This is one of my favorite designs that made the catalogue. (My very favorite design didn't make the catalogue but it was displayed at seminar so I'll have to see if I can get persmission to show it to you on my blog. I'm not sure if I'll be able to or not.)

I found this hook at Michaels and it had a picture of a cup of coffee on it. I took that off and this is how it ended up. It's funny how when I go to places now I look at things so differently. I'm always asking myself, "Can I alter that?" and "What can I do with that?". It's so much fun!! I can custom design whatever I want almost!

It's hard to see but there are stickles on the bath bubbles. I colored the image with watercolor crayons and a dove blender.

If you are looking for decorating ideas for your kitchen or bathroom, anything with a hook would be fun to alter! This stamp set is called "Rub a Dub Dub" and can be found on page 70 in the new fall/winter TAC catalogue.

Cha Cha!!

This pocket card was made using one of the papers from the new "Cha Cha" paper pack from The Angel Company! Isn't it awesome? I love the vibrant colors of this paper! They are just gorgeous! The watermark flower stamp that you see on the red paper is a new stamp set, also from TAC, called "Salsa Flowers". Love it too!! It is a set of 4 for $7.95. This set includes 2 flowers, 1 paisley and 1 background squiggle type stamp. I think that you'll love it when you see it too!! By the way, this was one of the projects that we made at TAC's seminar.

As soon as I get some cards made with my new stamps, I'll upload some new samples for you!!

July Stamp of the Month
This is such a cute stamp set!! It is called "Stand Tall" and consists of 11 stamps and can be yours during the month of July for only $6.95 with a $30 purchase! This set would be so adorable to use on baby cards, kids cards, scrapbook pages or even just general cards for adult kids!! I really adore this set!! The sayings in this set are pretty cute too! In case you can't read them, they are: "Stand TALL", "and never give up", "Thanks-a-TON", "You're ssspecial", "Good 4 You!" & "if you ever need a friend...i got your back".

TAC use to include many of the Stamp of the Month's in the new catalogs. However, they are no longer going to do that. So, if you like this stamp set, you better get it now! It is only available through the end of July and after that we will never see it again.

The Angel Company's New Catalogue!!

The TAC new catalogue is here and I love it! It has some awesome new features, beautiful new papers with coordinating inks, cardstocks, ribbons & embellishments to match, and, of course, fantastic new stamp sets!!

My favorite feature of the new catalog though, if I am 100% honest, is that I was honored to be asked in March to help design some of the samples for the new catalog! How cool is that? The hardest part was keeping it a secret from all of you! You can see the samples I designed, on page 40 (all 3 of those), page 70 (all four of those) and on page 71 (the only one that is mine on that page is Diva Dresses). Too much fun!!

One more thing before I sign off for the night! I had the pleasure to meet so many angels that I feel are friends! Some of you I "know" from TAC message boards, some of you I "know" by the messages you leave me on my blog (thank you for that by the way--what an encouragement you are to me!!), some of you told me that you read my blog and some of you I met for the first time! Wow! What an honor and a privilege to spend time, even if it was just for a moment, with you! I was truly blessed by a lot of true angels this weekend!! I can't wait to get to know you more!

I hope to show all of you some new projects and new ideas in the days ahead but I am still so sleep deprived from seminar (and working on my first new catalog order!!) that I am going to sign off for the night. Take care everyone!!
